Winter school holidays are here and the weather outside makes it less fun to play outside (although splashing in the mud and puddles before coming in for a hot drink is always fun!) But with EcoSplat reusable water balloons it’s easy for kids to still get the recommended daily hour of physical activity.
Kiwi kids are good at being active in sport and love getting exercise with their whānau and friends but today’s kids get less activity than they need and during rainy, cold school holidays there can be lots of time to fill! It’s recommended that kids get 1 hour of physical activity every day to strengthen bones and muscles as well as plenty of moving about - less sitting, more moving!
When you’re looking for indoor games for kids this winter grab some EcoSplat reusable water balloons and a bunch of kids and get them moving!
A dry ‘water fight’!
Reusable water balloons are soft enough to throw inside in a ‘dry water fight’. Just make sure there aren’t breakables in the firing line then hide behind the sofa and the battle is on!
Hot or Cold
One player goes out of the room and the other player hides the reusable water balloon. When the searcher comes in, the hider calls ‘hot’ if they’re close to the hiding place and ‘cold’ if they’re far away. Carry on until the reusable water balloons is found and then swap roles.
Piggy in the Middle
With three or more players - one player is in the middle and tries to intercept the reusable water balloon as it’s thrown between the other players. When it’s caught the piggy in the middle swaps places with the thrower.
Bath Toys
After an adventure outside in the puddles, a warm bath is a great idea for little kids and EcoSplat reusable water balloons make great bath toys!
